Funding & Financial Steering Officer

Responsibilities

The Funding & Financial Steering team role will be critical in raising the game, preparing for both short- and long-term challenges, and facing the step change in size & complexity of the funding and financial steering function arising from Ayvens integration, growth ambition and regulated status.

The mandate of the team is to work closely and transversally with the different Finance departments across Ayvens central and operational entities as well as in communication and coordination with external stakeholders, to design and implement an optimal funding structure, manage or contribute to group funding-related planning and reporting tasks, in compliance with external regulatory and accounting obligations.

More precisely, team mandate is articulated around financial steering and funding missions:

• Strategic Financial steering: build long term funding plan balancing all funding sources with uses, monitor operating entities funding needs and adequation with country risk limits, update the Contingency funding plan and weekly Early Warning Indicators, steer treasury net margin ensure adequacy between real funding cost and internal pricing model, contribute to regulatory and financial communication reports, own and develop IT tool tracking ringfenced assets
• Funding strategy and raising: develop and execute Ayvens funding strategy in cooperation with SG; scope covers bond market, bank loan market, IFIs, attached rate derivatives and Ayvens/SG guarantees granted to subsidiaries. Strategy is formalized and discussed by a bimonthly funding committee prepared by the team.

Role is centred around the following primary responsibilities:

• Bank pool management: Animation of bank relationships: management of banking financing facilities (RCF, term loans) and monitoring of side business
• Debt Capital Markets: Management of bond debt funding: design of issuance strategy considering diversification and corporate calendar, market monitoring, issuance documentation update, preparation and execution of placements
• Rate derivatives: Set up of rate derivatives hedging funding instruments in coordination with Luxemburg-based treasury and adjustment of the internal liquidity transfer
• Guarantees: Management of guarantees given to foreign operating entities and potential assistance to local bank funding negotiation
• IFIs: Management of IFIs funding: relationship with EIB and IFC, production of funded assets reporting, negotiation of new facilities

Role will also include the involvement in the following scopes:

• Stelar: Ownership and development of Stelar tool to manage and allocate assets to ringfenced debt instruments (green bonds & loans, securitization)
• Funding committee: Preparation of the bimonthly Funding Committee

Missions imply a close cooperation with various Ayvens and SG group functions including DFIN/GTR, Ayvens local operating subsidiaries finance officers, Ayvens digital & transformation office, deposit business controlling team, group reporting.

Profile required

Competencies:

• Proven experience in managing and executing Debt Capital Markets transactions
• Funding and treasury functional skills, including developing strategies and executing transactions with a focus on strategic financing
• Leasing and/or banking industry experience, including capital markets, derivatives, treasury products
• Experienced in managing complex funding transactions, with high stakes, in international environment
• Strong knowledge on the external regulatory environment relating to funding and treasury activities in a banking industry environment
• Organisationally as well as socially sensitive ability to effectively maintain a constructive working relationship with all central, local operational and SG teams

Position based in Rueil-Malmaison.

Experience of 5+ years in funding, treasury, DCM or structured finance is expected.
