Job Category: General AccountingJob Description:About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and detail-focused General Ledger Accountant to join our European Wellbore/Corporate finance team. This role is ideal for candidates who already possess a solid foundation in general accounting and are eager to deepen their experience. You will be responsible for preparing and distributing financial reports, journal entries, and reconciliations, as well as ensuring compliance with accounting standards and NOV policies. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis – Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including capital expenditure summaries and compliance reporting, to support business decision-making.
• Month-End Close & Reconciliations – Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, and account reconciliations in compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Audit & Compliance Support – Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing timely financial data and supporting documentation.
• Process Improvement & Collaboration – Ensure data accuracy, maintain organized documentation, and support accounting and Wellbore Technology teams with ad-hoc analysis and system-generated reporting.

Qualifications & SkillsEssential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance – provides a strong academic foundation in core financial principles.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general ledger accounting – demonstrates ability to handle recurring financial processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably JDE) and Microsoft Excel – essential for accurate and efficient reporting.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP) – ensures compliance and data accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – necessary for resolving discrepancies and optimizing processes.
