Job descriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable General Science Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive Science Department at a vibrant school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring teacher to nurture scientific curiosity and develop students’ understanding across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Beginning September 2025.Duties as a General Science Teacher:Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4Teach a balanced curriculum covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics topicsAdapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring progress and achievementPrepare students for internal assessments and external qualifications (e.g. GCSE Combined Science or Triple Science)Plan and carry out practical investigations in a safe, stimulating learning environmentMonitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedbackContribute to curriculum development, resources, and enrichment opportunitiesParticipate in science-related activities such as clubs, competitions or STEM eventsUphold the highest standards of behaviour, safeguarding and professionalismWork collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality across the departmentIdeal General Science Teacher:Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)Has a strong academic background in a science-related subjectIs confident teaching general science to students of all abilitiesDemonstrates good practical knowledge and enthusiasm for science educationIs committed to student success and continuous improvementPossesses excellent classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher.Is reflective, well-organised and able to work well as part of a teamWhy Class Act?With a rich history spanning over two decades, our teacher recruitment agency proudly serves North London, East London, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, Cornwall, and Devon.
