Global Customer Care Quality Engineer – Specialty Polymers
We are looking for :
This position will focus on areas where Quality is a competitive advantage in meeting our customer’s needs, and will proactively partner and collaborate with key strategic business partners. The incumbent is responsible for leading the Quality improvement efforts across the Materials GBU for key programs/customers and ensuring key quality performance metrics such as CSR rates (Customer Service Request) are achieved. This includes providing technical and project management to improve Customer Satisfaction levels, reduce cost of poor quality and minimize quality risks that could result in lost revenue, high consequence quality escapes or negative impact to Solvay reputation. The incumbent will frequently interact with Customers and GBU/Site personnel to identify continuous improvement areas, provide project leadership to drive improvement, ensure robust RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) actions are timely and effective when necessary and to ensure key Program performance metrics are improving.

Collaborate with Customer representatives, Solvay Industrial Directors, Account/Program Managers and Site Leaders to identify program wide quality improvement opportunities that mutually benefit the Customer and Solvay (multi-site)

Provide project management leadership to drive these improvement efforts and communicate as required both internally (Solvay) and to Customers
-
Provide leadership and oversight of RCCA’s to ensure the corrective actions are timely, robust and effective
-
Collaborate with Customer and GBU personnel to assess and manage changes that could negatively impact quality risk levels; demonstrate a “Quality as a Value” mindset & behavior

Actively lead and participate in quality risk assessments and audits. Ensure timely, effective address of findings
-
Publish program quality scorecard metrics as applicable
-
Position will handle Customer proprietary information

Improve customer intimacy and satisfaction
-
Improve Net Promoter Score for Quality within Materials GBU (Global Business Unit)

Improve customer scorecard ratings
-
Reduce customer complaints

You will bring:

BS in Engineering
-
Prior experience managing customer relationships
-
Working knowledge of Specialty Polymers and/or Composite/Adhesives Operations
-
Preferred – Working knowledge of IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System Standard (International Automotive Task Force), ISO 13485 Medical devices — Quality management systems or ISO-9001:2015 Quality Management systems or similarly highly regulated industry

Preferred – Familiarity of AS9100: Rev D and NADCAP certification process (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program)

English speaking and able to pass a background check
-
Must be able to handle ITAR/NIST information (U.S. Citizenship preferred).

Experience in Quality Engineering or Management

Possess strong, pro-active leadership and project management skills to achieve results

Good personnel engagement skills

Good oral and written communication skills – concise presentation, easy to read and understand standards and technical documents

Working knowledge of DMAIC problem solving including 8D and FMEA methods

Demonstrated experience in data analysis – statistical and inductive/deductive reasoning
-
Knowledge of Six Sigma tools – both lean and technical – including value stream mapping, 5S, process control and Measurement System Analysis or Gauge R&R
-
Good computer skills including Google docs, MS Office, Statistical software (SAS, Minitab, JMP, etc.)

You will get:

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,000.00 – $130,000.00. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
