Reporting to a Global Head of Airfreight, you are responsible for oversight, leadership and direction of all Air Station operations, ensuring operational excellence, optimal client service levels, Zero defect client implementation, adhering to gateway policy, ensuring performance goals are met whilst maintaining operating costs within budgeted parameters. It goes without saying that we value diversity: we thrive on the diversity of our talent in all its forms, and we see it as a strength in building high-performance teams across brands, cultures, and locations.Besides focusing on creating value for our customers and the business, a key priority for us is to drive personal and professional development for our people to prepare for further career progression.Flexibility: Work location can be flexibleKey ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the oversight, leadership and direction of all Air Freight Stations operation in the Maersk Network.Standardize Air Station structures globally for Large, Medium and Small operationsThrough performance management , create and establish defined measurements to be reviewed weekly and Monthly.Create and align measurements to be used to assess local vendors – ie Trucking, Warehouse etc.Align Structure and responsibilities for Regional Control TowersDirect and ensure optimal station client service levels strictly adhered toEnsure Gateway policy is strictly adhered to –maximum use of import/export gatewaysEnsure Cargo wise processes are uniformly implemented in each operating site. Conduct review audits with BPE Global/RegionalMonitor business execution and quality of serviceDeliver planned growth in a service oriented , profitable mannerOversee global client implementations to ensure zero defectPlans and reviews necessary resources Regional/Area level -staffing, training, equipment and systems.Through collaboration with BPE and Client Engagement that fiscal and budgetary goals for Air Operations Sites are achieved and exceeded.Manage professional development of teamDevelop, grow and nurture client relations to ensure customer service and operation levels for the Region are maintained.Ensure stations are operated within defined operating budgetsWhat we look forAt least 10 years’ experience operating station operations at regional levelInspirational and hands-on management styleInfluential communication skillsThrives in fast-paced & complex environmentsOpen-minded, strategic thinkerExperienced leadership in global organizations, inspiring & motivating colleaguesTrack record building high-performing teamsIn-depth understanding of the Airfreight businessCommercial savviness & collaboration across functionsMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
