YOUR ROLE

  • To support the implementation of HSE Management systems and initiatives through a range of engagement and training activities that will drive HSE Culture & Maturity. Liaising with key stakeholders in identifying and supporting the close out of actions to drive improvements in safety and legal compliance across all Regions and countries.
  • Support Regional QHSE Heads in consistent cascade of HSE objectives, targets and performance measurement with a targeted approach to improvement.
  • Support the delivery of training that aligns with the global standards framework, improving capability and accountability across all Regions & Countries.
  • Support the delivery of internal audit processes to ensure focus on compliance and objective reporting to top management on compliance and action to improve.
  • Act as an ambassador for a Culture of Trust, commitment and learning through the roll out of campaigns and initiatives to raise awareness; whilst ensuring compliance as a minimum standard.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Develop and maintain good professional cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders so as to provide competent support and guidance
  • Keep HSE best practice, legal knowledge and professional status up to date – provide technical environmental expertise to ensure legal compliance
  • Support serious accident investigation and ensure key learnings from significant incidents and any subsequent changes in standards are effectively communicated
  • Support a consistent approach in the creation and maintenance of risk profiles through hazard identification and risk control across all Regions and countries
  • Support the delivery of a comprehensive HSE Capability improvement framework, including a range of internal Management workshops, eLearning programmes and the coordination of external providers where required.
  • Ensure comprehensive Regional and Country improvement plans are in place with action close out, driving improvements in HSE performance and incident reduction.
  • Liaise with Regional and Country Support functions and product operation teams in key projects or initiatives requiring HSE input
  • Support robust methods of recording HSE data, KPI reporting and performance reviews

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Recognised Degree level qualification in Environmental Health & Safety Management (or equivalent)
  • 5 – 10 yrs Experience in HSE (or similar) Roles.
  • Proven record in delivering performance improvements
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience of coordinating a training programme
  • Experience delivering change management through strong stakeholder relationships
  • Operational Management experience
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of ISO14001 & 45001 management processes, principles and methodologies
  • Good level of office applications skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively
  • Experience of holding challenging conversations and achieving the desired output
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills with a coaching style
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Self-motivated and strong motivator of others
  • Ability to work as a team

Desirable

  • Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Logistics Operational Management experience
  • Intermediate / advanced exel
