We believe in empowering individuals to advance their careers through exposure to innovation, hands-on collaboration and enriching learning and development opportunities.Background on the PositionThe role will reside within Firm Risk Management’s (FRM) Risk COO function, in the Model Control Office (MCO) team. The FRM MCO team oversees the FRM model and tool risk governance, to align with model risk management principles instituted by regulatory authorities and adopted by the Firm.The MCO team works closely with global teams across multiple risk and capital areas, and focuses on relevant policy, procedures, governance implementation and controls. MCO team is responsible for Model, Tool and EUC population identification, inventory management, development and review oversight, appropriate model and tool usage, attestations and risk assessments, and ensuring end-user computing (EUC) controls. The team monitors key risks during model and tool lifecycle, issues with EUC management, and conducts related reporting and escalation to key stakeholders across risk stripes. The team is also responsible for training developers & users, and influences inventory infrastructure.The ideal candidate possesses business/technology/financial educational background, and skills such as Excel / VBA, Word, Powerpoint. Familiarity with concepts of financial products and risk management, and any prior work experience is preferred.Primary Responsibilities will include:Risk committee reporting

  • Identifying model, tool and EUC inventory updates, by working with large data sets sourced from multiple inventories and dashboards
  • Designing and tracking metrics on usage, issue management, data discrepancies
  • Coordinating with broader team to review data, collating and reflecting feedback appropriately
  • Creating customized reporting for various risk stripes and specific committees

EUC (End User Computing) Management:

  • Identifying and inventorying business critical EUCs across Firm Risk Management
  • Work with the business areas to set up EUCs and institute proper controls for monitoring EUCs in ClusterSeven, including establishing correct metadata, ownership, service level agreements, and performing quality control checks
  • Assist with the delivery of the EUC migration programs required by policy, to transition to technology environments. Working with IT to understand new platforms under development
  • Identifying and communicating pending actions, data issues to risk stripes, EUC owners

General governance:

  • Assist with addressing Regulatory & IAD requests
  • Assist with strategic projects due to policy, regulatory or industry changes

Skills Required (essential):

  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to work with large data sets and identify trends, discrepancies
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Self-motivator and team player who brings a “”can-do”” approach

Skills Desired:

  • Experience in risk, data, governance, project management or consulting in financial services
  • Working knowledge of ClusterSeven, Power BI
