Hartley People Recruitment, in partnership with our client, are hiring a Graduate or Junior Software Engineer based in Waterford.About the Role:Are you eager to kickstart your career in software engineering? Our client, an innovative company specialising in software development for Telecom Service Providers and the Education Publishing Industry, is looking for a Graduate or Junior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Waterford. This role offers the chance to work on exciting projects that make an impact, within a supportive and collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and optimize software performance, conduct software development, and perform unit, integration, and automated testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including ERDs, process flows, and use cases.
• Collaborate with designers, testers, and business experts across teams in multiple locations.
• Develop and document functional and non-functional requirements, as well as detailed technical designs.
• Plan, estimate, and prioritize development tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Design, build, and execute automation scripts to maintain high software quality.
• Write and manage regression test cases for bug resolution.

What We’re Looking For:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, JavaScript). Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, and design patterns is essential. Knowledge of Angular and HTML is advantageous.
• SQL Knowledge: Ability to design, develop, and manage SQL databases, ensuring effective data management and supporting analytical processes.
• Problem-Solving: A logical and analytical approach to challenges, with a focus on finding data-driven solutions.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Drive and Ambition: A goal-oriented mindset and eagerness to grow personally and professionally.
