Description :The Group FP&A Manager will be a key member of the finance team and report directly to the Global Chief Financial Officer.As Group FP&A Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning and analysis processes across our firm. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical support to help DGA Group achieve its financial objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of financial analysis, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.The role is being recruited following significant system changes and during ongoing finance transformation projects. As such, this presents the successful candidate with an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved at a critical period of change for the function, and to assist in shaping the future of finance.This role works closely with partners, functional heads, and all finance team members across the global network. There is currently an FP&A analyst in the team. We will build a team to support this role as required and in line with firm growth trajectory.Location
Washington, D.C. (hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office)Responsibilities

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the global budgeting and forecasting processes by working closely with business units and functional teams. Consolidate and analyze financial data, review assumptions, and provide guidance on financial targets. Monitor and track performance against budgets and / or forecasts, identify variances, provide clear insights and recommendations for improvement or corrections as needed.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and make recommendations for improving financial performance. Be responsible for ensuring the firm maintains a ‘single source of truth’ across performance.
  • FP&A Systems Administration: Manage and maintain the financial planning systems, tools, and databases used by the FP&A team (Datarails & PowerBI). Ensure proper configuration, troubleshoot system issues, and provide technical support to users. Collaborate with the Finance systems manager and IT teams to implement system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data management processes, reporting templates, and data dictionaries. Provide training and support to users on financial systems, data entry, and report generation.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to CFO, senior management and business leaders to drive informed decision-making. Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and potential risks to support long-term growth and profitability. Lead strategic financial planning exercises e.g., 5-year plan, peer firm benchmarking.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance the FP&A team processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Creating strong relationships within DGA Group: This role is a pivotal role in the finance function and requires a high level of communication and interaction with stakeholders.
  • FP&A team: Lead and mentor the FP&A analyst, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture, encourage knowledge sharing, and drive continuous learning within the team.
  • Business: Build strong relationships with the business to understand the financial and non-financial drivers of performance, focusing on leading indicators and business drivers to produce real actionable insights
  • Group Controllership team: Work closely to ensure that actual performance translates accurately into financial planning and analysis
  • Global CFO, Global HR and Finance Transformation Manager: Provide strategic insights across finance, HR and transformation that align with delivery of improved performance that enhances the enterprise value.

QualificationsEssential

  • 7-10 years of strong FP&A experience, preferably in a global or multinational company
  • Experience working in professional services or similar nature business
  • Professional finance certifications (e.g. CPA, CFA)
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting skills
  • Exposure to financial reporting standards and practices (IFRS and US GAAP)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to weave insights into storytelling
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Curiosity in driving change and innovation
  • Experience in management
  • Experience working with ERP (Sage Intacct) and FP&A software (Datarails) in a large global organisation
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility of being onsite in Washington DC, with travel to other DGA locations as required

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred
  • Experience in client facing role such as audit or business services
