Today, more than 4,700 experts from over 50 countries contribute to our sustainable success.Job DescriptionIn our R&D department, this exciting role offers the opportunity to join a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team of biologists, immunologists, chemists and engineers who are eager to work with you to enable the next generation of T cell therapies.

• Join a highly ambitious group that drives the development of innovative workflow solutions for the CliniMACS Prodigy® from conceptualization to market release to enable automated and fully closed production of T cell therapies.
• Lead a team of laboratory specialists and scientists within the R&D Immunotherapy department, focusing on the research and development of strategies for the clinical manufacturing of T cell therapies.
• Serve as the scientific and strategic leader, ensuring alignment and coordination of the group’s efforts to support Miltenyi’s development pipeline dedicated to the manufacturing of improved therapeutic T cell products.
• Foster strong interactions by working in a cross-functional matrix with teams from Engineering, Immunotherapy, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Production and Marketing.
• Maintain regular communication with external key partners and actively expand the network of collaborators in academia, clinical research, and the biopharmaceutical industry.

Qualifications

• You have a PhD in biology, immunology, biomedicine or a related field, and you have at some years postgraduate experience in T cell biology or immunotherapy, either in an industrial setting or as a postdoctoral fellow. Alternatively, you hold an MSc in Life Sciences and have many years of postgraduate experience.
• Experience in the development of clinically relevant processes and systems for cell manufacturing using the CliniMACS Prodigy® platform would be highly advantageous.
• You are well versed in project management. Experience of agile or Scrum-based project management would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory affairs, as well as experience of documentation under design control according to DIN EN ISO 13485, would be advantageous.
• You have a proven track record of mentoring group members and identifying and developing talent to meet project demands and future developments.
• Your approach is defined by creativity, goal orientation and a readiness to embrace new challenges, enabling you to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• You have outstanding presentation and communication skills in English, and a proven track record of successfully driving collaborations with internal and external partners.
