As part of the investment in our mission we are seeking a Growth Manager. This new role has
been created to support our strategic objectives of increasing our advice, information and
support services to consumers and small businesses and growing our impact in England.

The team

The business development team cover commercial activity, public sector tendering, EU and
international projects. Our services cut across data and digital tools, consumer engagement,
training programmes and advice services.

We collaborate and support each other, sharing expertise and best practice and innovating to
deliver world class customer experience.

The role 

The purpose of this role is to develop, identify and secure new business opportunities aligned
to Energy Saving Trust’s strategic objectives:

  • To increase our advice, information and support services to consumers and small businesses
  • To increase our presence in the dominant England sustainable energy market

The role will be responsible for identifying market trends and opportunities, developing
propositions and building relationships with prospective clients.

What you’ll do 

  • Stay ahead of market developments to understand the trends and have an early sight of new
    opportunities.
  • Actively engage with industry stakeholders, partners and prospective clients to understand
    their needs and priorities in order to inform proposition development.
  • Develop strong propositions building on Energy Saving Trust’s core competencies, which are
    aligned with our mission and strategic objectives, and deliver value to our clients and
    communities we operate in.
  • Work with senior bid / business development managers and senior strategy managers to develop
    and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities aligned to Energy Saving Trust’s
    strategic objectives.  

What you’ll bring 

  • Strong understanding of the sustainable energy sector.
  • Experience working on new business opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills, with proven ability to build
    relationships with clients.
  • Commercial acumen.

This is a permanent position. Our standard weekly hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.

This will need to be a full-time role.

We are open to flexible working locations (within England) and as standard we offer all
contracts on blended (home and office-based) working.

The majority of our people are working from home but have access to our office locations –
