The role focuses on delivering exceptional planning, documentation and coordination of testing activities to the business, playing a critical role in aligning the Bank’s change portfolio to reflect regulatory requirements and business prioritiesThe Test Manager will be responsible for coordinating testing activities for the Payments & GLCM (Global Liquidity and Cash Management) projects. This will include:

• Full accountability for the Quality assurance of all testing in these projects,
• Ensuring that all test plans and test execution meets the business and regulatory objectives they were initiated for,
• Full compliance with all regulatory and scheme requirements,
• Consideration and mitigation against the introduction of any operational risk.

What you’ll do

• Manage testing across multiple application support streams, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Create auditable documentation, including test plans, strategies, cases, results, and stakeholder reports.
• Address and escalate risks or issues identified during testing to ensure proper resolution.
• Maintain expertise in UK payments testing, including Faster Payments, BACS, Cash, and Cheques.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to execute testing phases with high standards and efficiency.
• Champion advanced testing methodologies, such as shift-left techniques and test automation, to improve quality and efficiency.
• Represent testing in project-level meetings, providing updates and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Engage with global teams to share best practices and integrate advanced testing approaches across the organization.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Proven experience in managing E2E testing activities in banking domain (ideally payments (SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022, card schemes, RTP).
• Solid understanding of the SDLC and STLC in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Proficiency in API testing, integration testing, system testing, UAT coordination, NFT.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools (Selenium, Tosca, Insomnia).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and adapt to dynamic working environments.
• Leadership experience with a focus on team development and fostering collaboration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub) and ISTQB certification is a plus.
