Overseeing a team of 50 in Formulation, Analytical Development, and Process Scale-up, the leader fosters a consumer-centric culture aligned with Opella’s vision of being a top Fast Moving Consumer Health company globally. The position also focuses on enhancing the development center’s capabilities by integrating unique technologies, new raw materials, and innovative product forms through partnerships. Additionally, it ensures quality and safety standards at the Compiegne Development Center in coordination with Quality and HSE teams.

Leadership of the analytical development department within the CHC development center of Compiegne, requiring a strong technical background in the analytical fields (methods, techniques, analysis, statistics), strong leadership and team management as well as great communication skills, result and customer orientation
1. Full management accountability for the assigned Analytical development department
The analytical development head will have the responsibility for the overall lead, management and coordination of the analytical department including a team of analytical team leaders, analytical experts and analytical technicians.
Strong leadership and managerial skills are essential to ensure good and effective team work organization and execution, in line with the required high development standard and internal operative procedures.
Responsible for the training, development and management of direct reports and the analytical staff in general to ensure effective ways of working and activities execution.

Define the annual department priorities and key milestones, organize, follow and supervise the weekly activities, identify the priorities and the resources needed
Define the annual development plan of the direct reports and support the development plan definition of the department
5. Budget and investments
He / She will be responsible for the annual department budget preparation and investment plan and to identify the new technologies and capabilities needed to maintain a state-of-the-art analytical department.
6. Improvement of ways of working and evolution of the center capabilities
Being member of the development center leadership team, he / she ensures an effective alignment and communication with the other functions and departments and will support the center for the expansion of the development network and capabilities
