The Head of Engineering will be leading the engineering departments in the production plant to ensure the compliance of projects, in time, form, quality, safely, budget and customer requirements. This position will report to the Plant Manager and will operate in a local level.How can you become part of our success?

• Initiating and managing multiple projects (S, Q, D, C). Reach defined targets.
• Budget management.
• Alignment to MAHLE and market best practices.
• Ensure the efficient use of resources (human, machine, material)
• Benchmarking processes with other plants.
• Process standardization across manufacturing centers.
• Auditing production lines according to standards and make improvements.
• Allocation of necessary resources to projects where they are needed: right people at the right place.
• Solution (PDCA) oriented.
• Leading improvement projects.
• Capacity management.

What skills do you need?

• Relevant Engineering degree (Automation, Electronics, Industrial organization or related)
• Full professional English and Spanish competence.
• More than 5 years’ experience in automotive sector in engineering positions.
• More than 3 years’ experience in managing teams.
• Experience in Industry 4.0 and IoT.
• Advanced experience in industrialization project management roles
• Customer focus and contact experience.
• Domain key tools at management levels (MS Office, MS Project)
• Understanding of HSE practices.
• Full understanding of lean manufacturing concepts.
• Independent initiation, authorization, and implementation of improvement projects.
• Highly organized and structured way of working.
• Analytical and negotiation skills.
• Good listening and communication. Trust building.
• Problem Solving skills and solution oriented.
• Proactive and flexible mindset.
• Open and available to travel nationally and internationally.
• Strong communication and assertiveness.
• Ability to think critically and manage conflicts.
