Head of ILS/ALN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager, who is resilient, enthusiastic and professional to lead the ALN and ILS provision of The College Merthyr Tydfil. The post holder will be responsible for managing the ALN Coordinator, ILS teaching staff and ILS support staff. The teams are highly committed and passionate about providing our learners with the very best teaching, support, advice and guidance.

The post can be both challenging and extremely rewarding with both a divisional and cross-college role. The successful candidate will be required to make difficult and sometimes complex decisions, in a timely manner, regarding assessment of needs and complex support requirements.

The successful candidate will be part of the overall College Management Team and will be an experienced leader, capable of empowering, supporting and inspiring their team and have experience in providing support for additional learning needs.

A DBS certificate and EWC registration are requirements of this post.
