The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education is looking to recruit two Heads of Learning and Teaching and Student Experience to work in our Health and Professional Practice subject executive areas. The principal aim of the posts is to make the learning experience of all students outstanding through high quality learning and teaching and effective partnership with students. In addition, the post holder will lead and manage a number of Subject Support Officers who work with subject areas to support student retention and progression. You will develop, lead and implement plans and actions for enhancement that demonstrably improve the quality of learning and teaching within the Faculty, in line with the University requirements set out in the Academic Plan and Blueprint and in relation to the 2030 Strategy and Curriculum. You will work closely with managers within the Faculty (including the Deputy Deans, Associate Deans and Heads of Subject), with course teams and individual academics to identify and embed good practice, and to identify and to develop and improve practice where required. In doing so, you will generate energy and enthusiasm amongst colleagues around teaching innovation and build awareness of good practice by connecting the Faculty to expertise and evidence in other university.
These positions are based at the Pontypridd Campus of the University of South Wales and are advertised as permanent 1.0 FTE positions.
