United by a shared vision of excellence, the BYD Benelux team is focused on creating a sustainable and customer-centric future in the automotive world.Your RoleAs the Head of Network Development for BYD Benelux, you’ll lead the expansion and optimization of our dealership and partnership network across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Heading our Network Development and Sales Training team, you’ll work closely with our regional partners to recruit and develop dealership network aligning with our upscale ambitions, CI/VI Guidelines, and Dealer Operating Standards.Your critical role ensures our dealer network invests in the necessary infrastructure and operates under BYD’s standards of excellence. You will report directly to Benelux’s Country Manager.Your Tasks

  • Lead, develop, and shape the BYD Benelux network development and sales training team. Establish and maintain smooth cross-functional/cultural work relationships with departments in BYD Europe and HQ in China.
  • Analyze the current Benelux market representation and open point locations, creating comprehensive reports on market data, demographics, potential candidates, optimal dealer locations, competition presence, other luxury brands, and high-net-worth households to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Create materials to attract potential dealer candidates. Research the local market to shortlist suitable dealer candidates based on operational and liquidity criteria. Conduct interviews and assessments, creating recommendations supported by relevant data.
  • Steer and ensure all legal documentation, including but not limited to Letters of Intent (LOI), and Dealer Agreements (DA), adhere to local legislation and BYD guidelines.
  • Closely follow up on dealer appointment process, including facility development, staff recruitment, training, initial stock orders, Dealer Operating Standards review and suitable launch activities
  • Roll out the BYD Ignition Program, providing training on processes to assist new-to-brand dealers during the “go live” process
  • Conduct quarterly reviews to identify profitability, liquidity, and operational concerns, formulate network target and plans and collaborate with the regional partners, and support on location to bring necessary improvements in operations, NPS, site management related index, and P&L. Provide calculation results and feedback on network related rebate.

Key Objectives

  • Plan and meet the quarterly network/partnership development target (balancing Qty. & Quality).
  • CI (Corporate Identity) & VI (Visual Identity) implementation to new/existing network.
  • New network onboarding, sales personnel screening, and training.
  • Existing network management (Visit, monitor, and improve NPS scoring).
  • Continuously enhance dealership performance metrics, addressing and providing solutions for challenges to drive sustainable growth.

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business management, engineering, or legal fields.
  • Minimal 10 years in the automotive industry for retail network development relevant roles.
  • Expertise in project management, business acumen, financial statement analysis, and dealer performance reviews.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch or French is a must; Chinese language proficiency would be a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge and passion about the European automotive industry’s history, brands, products, and technologies.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a rapidly developing, dynamic environment and partner effectively with cross-border/cultural teams.
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of positive influence in teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, maintaining close connections with partners and BYD HQ.
