Beat Games is an integral part of Reality Labs at Meta, and the smash hit game, Beat Saber, is a top performer on the Quest Platform. Beat Games is located in Prague, Czech Republic, and we are the award-winning game studio that created the original Beat Saber, which has sold over 4 million copies to date and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music including Queen, The Rolling Stones, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, BTS and The Weeknd. We’re seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Production to lead our production team at Beat Games. As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of our game projects. You’ll work closely with our development teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that our games are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an extremely exciting time at Beat Games as we look to build and innovate on the rhythm action genre.Head of Production ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the production team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their successDevelop and implement production plans, schedules, and budgets for all game projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, art, design, and QA, to ensure alignment and effective communicationIdentify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact project timelines or qualityFoster an environment of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the production teamWork closely with external partners, such as contractors, vendors, and outsourcing companies, to ensure successful collaboration and deliveryDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholdersStay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve our production processes and methodologiesParticipate in the recruitment, training, and development of production staff to build a collaborative and empowered teamCollaborate with Reality Labs’ various departments to ensure successful game launches and ongoing supportOccasionally travel locally and abroad to meet with external and internal partners, visit co-dev studios, etcMinimum QualificationsExperience in game development having shipped multiple titles, or equivalent experience, with a focus on production managementProven track record of delivering high-quality games on time and within budgetDemonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience in building and managing collaborative and empowered teamsProven track record of success in communication, negotiation, and problem-solvingProven experience working effectively solving complex problems and embracing ambiguity to drive innovative and impactful solutions with multiple priorities and deadlinesDemonstrable knowledge of game development pipelines, processes, and toolsExperience with Agile development methodologies and project management software (e.g., Jira)Preferred QualificationsExperience with Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Mixed Reality game developmentFamiliarity with Agile development methodologiesCertification in project management (e.g., Project Management Professional, Scrum Master)About MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
