Who are now looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their small and friendly accounts team. You must be an advanced user with Excel as this is a big part of the roleWithin your new role you will be responsible for:

• Managing the accounts across their sites- Monthly

• Reporting on the profitability of all sites

• Account Management

• Provide period management accounts, all daily/weekly and other financial reports and key figures as required, providing notes and analysis highlighting areas of concern to the Group Accountant.

• Undertake reviews of the accounts produced ensuring that any adverse trends or variances are explained and acted upon

• Ensure all Balance Sheet Accounts reconciled.

• Ensure that monthly group debtors and F&l reports take place involving the Group Accountant and all actions identified to be followed up.

• Produce an internal year end pack.

• Ensuring that regular submissions to HMRC, including the group VAT return, are completed in a timely manner.

• Ensuring accurate and complete processing in all accounting matters and being able to question and critically analyse and question data.

• Assisting the Head Office Accountant with any other ad-hoc tasks that may arise.

• Organising work within the accounts function as required to achieve the highest level of accuracy.

• 100% complete and accurate data collection- Using Excel

• Communicating effectively and professionally by telephone or email where required.

Skills/experience required for this position:

• Previous experience within an Accountant position is essential

• Account Management experience

• Ideally someone who has studied their AAT and looking to complete ACCA

• Advanced users with Excel- Macros, Manipulating Data ect- This is essential

• High level of attention to detail

• Hands on approach with eagerness to learn.
