Duties & Responsibilities:As a Healthcare Assistant with Bluebird Care, your role will include:

• Assisting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
• Preparing meals and supporting with feeding if required
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting medication prompts/reminders
• Carrying out light household duties (tidying, laundry, etc.)
• Promoting client independence and dignity at all times
• Reporting concerns or changes in health to the office promptly
• Accurately recording visit notes and care updates

Requirements:You must have either:

• Two QQI Level 5 modules – Care Skills/Healthcare Support and Care of the Older Person

OR

• 1+ year experience as a HCA and a willingness to complete the 2 QQI modules (provided FREE by Bluebird Care)
• Good spoken and written English is essential

• Every second weekend preferred
