Join Our Team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Are you a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for Teaching? if so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to make a significant impact in the lives of our students.We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled HLTA to join our team and play a key role in supporting across the school to cover PPA time and step in when required if a teacher is absent. The HLTA will also provide tailored support to students who are working at a lower level and need small group interventions.Lessons are activity based meaning no two days will be the same!
This is a full-time role 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.Key Responsibilities:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process at our school. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering Lessons: Leading small groups or whole classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
2. Curriculum Support: Providing additional support to students in various subjects, assisting them in achieving their academic potential.
3. Behaviour Management: Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and discipline in line with school policies.
4. Assessment and Reporting: Assisting with the assessment of student progress and providing valuable feedback to teachers.
5. Individualized Support: Offering one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods as needed.
6. Administrative Tasks: Assisting with classroom preparation, resource management, and other administrative duties as required.To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an HLTA or classroom teaching assistant in a Primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary school curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work.
