With a fleet of 34 vessels completing approximately 136,000 sailings annually, CalMac provides essential lifeline services to west coast communities and plays a critical role in tourism and economic development.The OpportunityFollowing the retirement of the current postholder, CalMac Ferries Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the overall People Strategy of the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and strategic HR professional to join a growing and innovative organisation.The RoleThe HR Director will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organisation’s mission and goals. They will lead a team of Generalist HR professionals, the HR Transactional Services team, and the Talent Development team to provide an effective and efficient HR serviceQualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CIPD accreditation preferred.
• Demonstrable HR experience gained in a leadership role.
• Experience in both public and private sector organisations is desirable, with maritime or transport sector experience being an advantage.
