About the role

We are seeking a friendly, inclusive and inspirational lecturer to join our Social Work and Wellbeing team.

Our courses have been designed with input from our stakeholders in the sector and the curriculum reflects contemporary issues, including the use of simulation-based education. You’ll have the ability to deliver an excellent student experience through creative and innovative learning, collaboration, a strong commitment to supporting students and a passion to develop the best practitioners.

The Social Work and Wellbeing Department has well-established Social Work and social care programmes and you will be joining us at an exciting time when we are developing our range of provision. We have strong connections to our local partners.

Successful applicants will have varied experience and knowledge of working in the sector: a Social Work qualification and registration with SWE is desirable. Effective teamworking and excellent communication skills are essential.  Formal teaching experience in higher education is preferred but is not essential for the Lecturer (Grade 7) post.  However, these are considered as essential requirements for the Senior Lecturer role.
