An exciting opportunity has become available for a new position as HTA Person Designated (PD).
Reporting to the Institute Designated Individual, you will manage the day-to-day operations for all activities associated with the HTA. With expert knowledge of the licence documentation, you will apply your knowledge to advise and guide research groups with their experimental work, GDPR, record keeping, storage and security requirements for samples. Other key responsibilities will include to proactively author, maintain and update documentation and databases, in readiness for impromptu internal and external audits and to complete an annual return to the HTA Authority.
You will hold a degree, or equivalent significant experience in a bioscience subject. Experience and working knowledge of relevant legislation related to human tissue and data acquisition, storage and processing, in particular experience of working within the Human Tissue Act 2004 and Data Protection Act 2018, is essential. You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of internal and external contacts
The role is available from 1 August 2023 and will be offered part-time 0.5fte (18.75 hours per week), fixed-term for 3 years in the first instance.
