Amongst the 1000+ strong workforce they have a high calibre and well led legal function which is integral to the success of the organisation. This team is currently looking to recruit an additional lawyer with a to help them continuing their successes and achieve their commercial and legal objectives. THE ROLE The workload is incredibly diverse. On a daily basis the legal team deals with a range of complex issues which could comprise legal advice pertaining to procurement, contracts/commercial, technology and IT matters , property, construction, civil litigation, information governance, health and safety and employment issues. As you can imagine, a highly varied and interesting role. You would instruct external solicitors on a range of matters, conduct internal training, draft policies and procedures ABOUT YOU Given this diversity of matters coming into the team, we will be interested to speak to lawyers from a diverse range of backgrounds. Your technical background might be commercial contracts, corporate, commercial litigation, projects, construction or technology – all could be useful. What is key to will be your strong ability in drafting, advising and negotiation, (in any of the above related disciplines), your commerciality beyond understanding balck letter law, and your confidence to operate with limited supervision. This is a highly complex business with many legal issues requiring an agile and enquiring mind.
