Industrial PhD (Westinghouse-CSIC)We are looking for a candidate for a contract aimed at completing an industrial PhD between Westinghouse and the Institute of Physical and Information Technologies (ITEFI) of Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas.The contract focuses on the development of innovative materials for industrial applications of Non-Destructive Testing using ultrasound, the implementation of image reconstruction algorithms, and their use in various practical cases.The work will be carried out jointly between the Institute of Physical and Information Technologies (CSIC) and the company Tecnatom-Westinghouse, and includes short stays at the company Wesdyne (Sweden).The duration of the contract is 3 years.Requirements: Master’s degree in engineering or physics.Valued skills: Knowledge of acoustics/ultrasound, signal processing, programming (MATLAB, Python), English.Doctorado industrial Westinghouse-CSICBuscamos candidato para un contrato cuyo objetivo es la realización de un doctorado industrial entre la empresa Westinghouse y el Instituto de Tecnologías Físicas y de la Información (ITEFI) del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas.El contrato se centra en la creación de materiales innovadores para aplicaciones industriales de ensayos no destructivos mediante ultrasonidos, la implementación de algoritmos de reconstrucción de imágenes y su uso en diversos casos prácticos.El trabajo se realizará de forma conjunta entre el Instituto de Tecnologías Físicas y de la Información (CSIC) y la empresa Tecnatom-Westinghouse y contempla estancias cortas en la empresa Wesdyne (Suecia).La duración del contrato es de 3 años.Requisitos: Máster en las ramas de ingeniería o física.Se valorarán: conocimientos de acústica/ultrasonidos, tratamiento de la señal, programación (MATLAB, Python), inglés.Employment opportunities may require access to information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
