Industry Decarbonisation Analyst (f/m/d)

Job descriptionWe are looking for a new Professional to join our Climate Policy Team in Berlin or remote, with a focus on analysing and modelling decarbonisation pathways for the industry sector. The role centers on evaluating the potential for ambitious emissions reductions across energy-intensive sectors such as steel and cement, aiming to reach (near) zero residual emissions and minimise reliance on negative emissions.You will contribute to the development of Paris Agreement-compatible transition strategies by combining evidence from academic literature, institutional reports, and quantitative data analysis. The work involves both desk-based research and the application of techno-economic modelling techniques to assess feasible pathways and inform mitigation options. You will use energy system modelling tools, sectoral emissions data, and technology cost-performance assumptions to quantify decarbonisation pathways across industry sectors.
