A great opportunity has arisen to join the Faculty of Engineering’s Infrastructure team based on Jubilee Campus.  

You will be responsible for the provision of building-related technical support for the Faculty of Engineering’s extensive infrastructure assets across multiple buildings on the Jubilee campus.  

Under the direction of the faculty’s infrastructure manager and as part of a team, you will co-ordinate infrastructure related works and ensure compliance with both university policies and procedures and health and safety work-related regulations. 

  • Act as a point of contact for infrastructure related queries and works and co-ordinate small- and large-scale projects including the creation of work specifications, the request of quotes from external contractors and organisation of work schedules. 
  • Manage contractors in accordance with CDM regulations including requesting & reviewing RAMS, conducting inductions, and arranging building access.   
  • Implement Zetasafe in collaboration with the faculty’s safety team to manage critical and essential maintenance and compliance checks for all faculty assets in line with UK regulations. 
  • Manage, monitor, and audit desk and office allocations for staff and researchers and maintain the faculty’s building database.  
  • Produce estimates/proposals and share ideas to support the faculty’s changing space requirements for teaching & research. 
  • Review and update Room Asset Management drawings of faculty occupied buildings on Jubilee campus using AutoCAD. 

Candidates should have: 

A HNC in a relevant subject. OR Equivalent level 4 vocational qualification with considerable work experience in a relevant role. OR Substantial work experience in a relevant role. 

This is a full time (36.25 Hours), permanent position. Job share arrangements may be considered.
