New – our client is a leading 100 full-service international firm which is consistently top-tier within the legal rankings and a stellar reputation across numerous practice areas including: banking, litigation, regulatory, and R&I.Due to strategic growth, the firm are currently seeking an Insolvency Partner to join their market-leading Restructuring & Insolvency team based in the Thames Valley.The R&I team specialise in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters and typically act for insolvency practitioners, creditors, directors of distressed companies, potential purchasers of insolvent businesses and other stakeholders.Non- contentious corporate insolvency experience ensures clients can receive advice from the onset of insolvency through to the conclusion of a formal insolvency process.This can involve providing advice on directors’ duties and restructuring options to directors of distressed companies; advising administrators in relation to trading and any other issues arising on and following their appointment; acting for officeholders and potential purchasers on the sale/acquisition of the business and assets of insolvency companies; and acting for officeholders in relation to claims brought against misfeasant directors and third parties.This is a unique opportunity to spearhead, and grow, their R&I offering from the Thames Valley whilst playing an integral role in the wider team internationally.As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for:

• Working on both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to restructuring & insolvency.
• Advising a broad range of clients, including insolvency practitioners, corporate entities, shareholders and directors and more.
• Supervising and supporting junior team members.Demonstrating and possessing a genuine enthusiasm for the practice area and its ongoing development.

To be considered for the role you will:

• Have extensive restructuring and insolvency experience gained from a leading regional, city or international firm
• Demonstrate an existing client following
• Possess excellent technical knowledge of and familiarity with contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring law.
• A knowledge and experience of bankruptcy and post-bankruptcy and trustee issues inherent would be highly desirable, but not essential.
• Have meticulous attention to detail and be a confident and articulate communicator.
