Job overview and responsibilities
Within the Digital Operations team, the IT expert specializing in interfaces and integration, oversees a suite of specific and legacy applications and utilities crucial for supporting the global engineering & industrial function. This professional is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the connections between applications in this area and spearheads the integration with various workplace technologies, including PCs, workstations, and servers. With a focus on preserving and enhancing critical interfaces, the expert will propose improvements and simplifications within the engineering application ecosystem. He/she shall also be responsible for transversal harmony with other IT Engineering experts. Working closely with the product manager, he/she provides technical expertise and takes a leading or participatory role in projects within this domain. Additionally, he/she investigates issues and demands for evolution, all while advocating for IT standards.
- Maintain in operational condition the large scope of applications and utilities essential for service continuity in engineering function
- Maintain the documentation, inventory, configurations management
- Collaborate with Workplace for defining standard client configurations and package factory to streamline workstation delivery to the end users
- Monitor changes in cyber, network, and FW rules and update access workflows to avoid business interruption
- Maintain a strong link with Infrastructure team to ensure optimal server (database, license, application) performance and most up to date server configurations
- Provide support transversally to other IT engineering experts for routine license renewal, engine upgrade, application upgrade activities
- Define infrastructure needs in adherence to the engineering roadmap
- Work with editors to install, renew, and monitor network/standalone licenses and usage to ensure business continuity.
- Liaise with the product manager and domain leaders to anticipate the support and license renewal.
- Work with the end users to maintain and update the configurations/licenses on client machines
- Improve support processes and coordinate with the service-desk the level1, handle Level 2/Level 3 escalations in his/her area of expertise
- Lead integration with workplace (PC, advanced workstations, servers)
- Promote best practices interfacing different systems
- Monitor key service indicators and escalate deviations to the product manager
- Lead and contribute to projects in the scope of engineering to enhancement such as guarantee availability, resiliency, performance and cyber security
- Contribute to the roadmap construction. Sponsor and develop new solutions in coordination with the product managers, the architects and technical leaders.
- Enforce cyber security and compliance rules as per company policy, with special attention to export control regulated data.

Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant course of studies
+5 years’ experience in that domain
Skills and behavioural competencies
- Strong Knowledge on the end-to-end Engineering Project Lifecycle (Research, Design, Construct, Operation/Maintenance, Rehabilitation)
- Solid experience in IT Infrastructure (Network, Firewalls, Hosting, Windows Server & Workstation)
- Expertise in engineering data/files workflow, file types, compatibility with other upstream and downstream applications
- Strong knowledge on data storage strategies (local file servers, central servers, cloud) with impact on the applications
- Ability to manage multiple application and license servers/engine and ensure internal as well as external compliance
- Basic knowledge of workflows and file/data exchange between engineering teams, 3rd party, contractors as a part of an engineering project
- Strong knowledge on Client-Server architecture
- Basic knowledge in CAD and EDM tools
