You’ll be working in CSE’s Local and Community Empowerment team whose mission is to ensure that
all communities feel inspired and able to play a meaningful role in the transition to a more
sustainable and fairer energy system.

Pay and conditions

  • The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week).
  • The salary for the role will be £23,820 – £25,369 per annum
  • You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

  • Engage with a range of stakeholders, potentially building community groups, local
    authorities, town and parish councils, and voluntary sector organisations to take action on
    climate change.
  • Provide administrative support for timely delivery of project activities, accurate record
    keeping and robust reporting across a range of CSE projects and initiatives.
  • Help with the planning, promotion and delivery of training sessions, workshops and events.
  • Represent CSE on a range of projects, in external, in-person and online meetings and
    events.
  • Develop materials and approaches to promote our projects, activities, reports and
    publications to ensure effective engagement with our target audiences.

Essential attributes for this role include:

  • O’level/GCSE Maths and English
  • Basic understanding of the broad themes driving the sustainable energy, fuel poverty and
    climate change work of CSE.
  • Highly organised and able to manage time and busy workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
