The team works closely with relevant stakeholders, departments and Allianz entities worldwide to ensure the achievement of Allianz net zero targets for operations and the implementation of the Group operations environmental strategy.The Intern Sustainability will support the implementation of the strategy, the corresponding roadmaps as well as the relevant corporate measures.How can you make an impact?

• You will support the design and execution of environmental initiatives, programs and related topics for Allianz Global Operations
• You will support Allianz entities in identifying value and impact of initiatives, identify areas for improvement, specify requirements and implement recommendations to improve impact on Group Sustainability targets
• You will conduct research and benchmarking of key trends in the industry and translate best practices into key insights
• Develop and implement employee awareness and engagement opportunities to embed sustainability internally and making it relevant to the entire employee base
• In addition, you will be involved in other individual projects in the context of the reporting team within Group Sustainable Operations
• You will support the team with various operational tasks (e.g. planning, coordination, preparation of guidelines and materials, etc.) as required

What are you made of?Minimum Qualifications

• You are currently working towards a university degree (master, PhD) in business administration, finance, management, sustainability, economics, political sciences, environmental sciences, environmental engineering and/or any other related field
• Previous knowledge and/or a strong interest in at least one of the work streams (see above)
• Ideally you have already gained first practical experience in the fields of sustainability, and/ or project management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required; German or another European language an asset
• You are looking for an internship with a duration of 6-12 months
• We can only consider your application if you provide the following documents:

Certificate of enrolment (exception gap year)Valid Work and residence permit (for non-EU citizens). Please check before applying if you can work with your current VISA * Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus

• Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong ability to think and act independently and to quickly adapt to new problem settings and situations
• Proactive, flexible and energetic team players with a strong personal interest in sustainability issues, environmental problems and societal concerns
• Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to drive several projects at once
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
