Within our Centre for Academic Language and Development department, we are looking for a new Subject Tutor to teach Economics and/ or Management at level 3. This position offers you a fantastic opportunity to join the Centre’s large and expanding International Foundation Programme (IFP) team.
In this role, you will contribute to the continued development of the University of Bristol’s IFP as a world-class provision that attracts diverse, high-quality students and provides them with an excellent educational experience.
This role offers a great balance between an average of 12 to 15 contact teaching hours per week, and opportunities to develop teaching materials and yourself through personal CPD.
As a Subject tutor, you will be teaching Economics and/or Management (Business Studies) on the International Foundation Programme’s Social Sciences and Law pathway.
As well as teaching, you will collaborate with the Economics and/or Management Subject Leads in the design and development of the Centre’s materials, assessments and CPD under the supervision of the Social Sciences and Law Co-ordinator. You will be working in line with the Centre’s principles of development, reflexivity, autonomy, collaboration, transparency and transferability.
- You have teaching experience in courses in Economics and / or Management (Business Studies) at level 3. This could be from Secondary, Sixth Form, Further or Higher Education.
- You hold a degree within a relevant subject or hold similar work experience.
- You are an enthusiastic, experienced professional who can work as part of a dynamic teaching team.
- You have the ability to adapt the delivery of materials depending on the needs of a particular cohort of students.
- Alongside your skills and experience, you will thrive in an autonomous environment and be analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
- The ability to teach Accounting and Finance would be an advantage.
