About the Role
We are seeking an International Officer (Agents, Schools and Sponsor Relations) to join the Global Engagement team at Queen Mary University of London. The Global Engagement Office (GEO) sits within the External Relations Directorate. Its function is to recruit International Students, promote inward and outward mobility options for students looking for short term study opportunities and lead on Queen Mary’s International Partnership activity. The International Officer (Agents, Schools and Sponsor Relations) post will support the International Student Recruitment and International Partnership teams. The role will involve managing the Universities network of overseas agents, coordinating engagement with the international school sector and supporting our work with sponsor bodies. The role will be perfect for someone looking to gain experience in both student recruitment and partnership activities.
About You
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with an interest in international education and student mobility. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload are essential. Experience of working in Higher Education is not a prerequisite. The postholder will be expected to travel and represent the University both overseas and within the UK.

You will join a forward-thinking and proactive team within the External Relations Directorate. Our directorate is responsible for raising the awareness and reputation of Queen Mary among its target audiences, and for increasing the quality and quantity of Queen Mary applicants. We collaborate with stakeholders, we support staff, students and prospective students to achieve more.

The post is based at Department W in Whitechapel, London. It is a full-time permanent appointment, with an expected start date of 1st August 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £37,348 – £43,592 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
