International Sales Manager – Food Ingredients
Our client, a long-established global distributor in the chemicals and food ingredients sector, is offering a fully remote Sales opportunity with significant regional responsibility across Europe. For more than four decades, this family-owned business has grown to over 200 employees in multiple offices across four continents, supplying customers in more than 25 countries. They foster professional growth through hands-on entrepreneurial responsibility, international exposure, and close collaboration with experienced product and sales specialists-many of whom have advanced from regional roles into broader European and global leadership positions.

Role Responsibilities
* Drive regional sales and business development for food chemicals and ingredients in your designated European region, aligning your activities with the company’s mission to be a trusted, value-adding distributor for food manufacturers.
* Develop and execute your own market and customer strategy: build and manage a robust sales pipeline, expand the customer base, and strengthen existing partnerships, using market intelligence and your technical product know-how.
* Collaborate closely with global and regional Product Managers and regularly travel to customers and industry events in your region, combining home-office flexibility with strong on-the-ground presence to deepen relationships and capture new market opportunities.
Requirements
* Seasoned food ingredients sales professional: at least 5 years of sales and marketing experience specifically in food chemicals and ingredients, with a proven track record in sales, business development, and trade within the European food industry-this is your platform to leverage and scale your expertise.
* Strong technical and commercial toolkit: in-depth knowledge of food additives (acidulants, amino acids, preservatives, antioxidants, hydrocolloids, phosphates, sweeteners, plant-based proteins), confident use of CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce or similar) and advanced skills in MS Office, enabling you to manage your territory with full ownership.
* International communicator and deal maker: excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with fluency in English; additional proficiency in German (for Germany/Central Europe), Polish (for Poland/Eastern Europe) or other regional languages will help you stand out and succeed even faster in your market.
