Offer DescriptionWithin the projects “ASTEP-Application of Solar Thermal Energy to Processes”, with reference GA.-884411; and “SUSHEAT-Smart Integration of Waste and Renewable Energy for Sustainable Heat Upgrade in the Industry”, with reference GA.-101103552; led by Professor Antonio José Rovira de Antonio, from the Department of Energy Engineering, a job contract is announced to carry out the tasks related to the purpose of the call.This call aims to hire a full-time doctoral researcher to perform the following tasks associated with the ASTEP and SUSHEAT projects:

The candidate’s incorporation into the research group of the project will be through an employment contract between the selected candidate and UNED, in accordance with (Spanish law) Article 23 bis of Ley 14/2011, de 1 de junio, de la Ciencia la Tecnología y la Innovación, modificada por Ley 17/2022, de 5 de septiembre, and other applicable legal provisions.2. The contract will be indefinite and full-time, subject to the duration of the ASTEP research project, scheduled to end on June 30, 2025, and the availability of sufficient funding.In any case, the termination of the employment contract will be governed by the causes provided for in Article 49 of the consolidated text of the Workers’ Statute Law (Ley del Estatuto de los Trabajadores) and related regulations. Objective grounds for termination of the contract will be those provided for in Article 52 of the consolidated text of the Workers’ Statute Law, with special mention to letter e), which specifies as an objective cause the insufficient economic allocation for the maintenance of this employment contract.3. The place of work will be the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers of UNED, located at Calle Juan del Rosal, No. 12, 28040, Madrid.4. The selected candidate must start work within ten days following the contract’s signing. Failure to comply with this deadline will be considered as resignation from the contract, resulting in the loss of any rights derived from this call.5. The monthly gross salary for the contract duration will be €2,285.00, paid in twelve installments (prorated extra payments).6. The provision of services under the contract resulting from this call does not imply any commitment regarding the subsequent incorporation of the candidates into UNED’s staff.Eligibility criteriaThe Committee will select candidates according to the following criteria:1.
