Job description

As a Junior Automation Engineer, you will be involved in multidisciplinary innovation projects, where you will apply your technical skills in the development of the assigned tasks.Main areas of activity:

• Scouting and analysis of new technologies.

• Modeling, estimation and control of dynamic systems.

• Machine learning (both supervised and unsupervised) and reinforcement learning.

• Data analysis and statistical models.

• Motor control algorithms design and development.

• Industry 4.0 machinery control design and supervisor.

Required background and technical skills:

• Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Automation Engineering or equivalent scientific or technical qualification.

Technical competences:

• Skills in control strategies and algorithms.

• Skill in modeling dynamic systems (both mechanical and vehicular).

• Knowledge of statistic and machine learning algorithms.

• Knowledge of real-time systems, sensor acquisition and actuator control.

• Good software development skills.

Tools:

• Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.

• Basic knowledge of Python

• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

• Familiarity with CANalyzer software is appreciated.

• C development in embedded systems is a plus.

• PLC and SCADA programming is a plus.

Other skills and required characteristics:

• Personal skills: Ability to work in a team, strong attitude toward collaborative problem-solving, self-learning abilities, passion for physics and engineering, and a deep interest in solving complex technical problems.

• Languages: English (B2).

• Travel: Available for business trips in Italy and abroad.
