AufgabenDie Stelleninhaberin / der Stelleninhaber soll das Gebiet „Volkswirtschaftslehre – Empirische Wirtschaftsforschung“ in Lehre und Forschung vertreten. Insbesondere ist die Beteiligung an der Lehre in den verschiedenen disziplinären und interdisziplinären Bachelor- und Masterstudiengängen der Fakultät vorgesehen. Darüber hinaus soll sie/er sich an der Gestaltung der vorhandenen Masterstudiengänge, insbesondere im Masterstudiengang Economics beteiligen und an der Weiterentwicklung von Ausbildungs- und Forschungskonzepten mitwirken.
ProfilDie Bewerberinnen / Bewerber sollten eine Promotion in Volkswirtschaftslehre oder einem anderen für empirische Wirtschaftsforschung relevanten Feld abgeschlossen haben. In der Forschung wird eine Schwerpunktsetzung in angewandter Makroökonometrie oder Mikroökonometrie angestrebt. In der Lehre der Juniorprofessur sollen Methoden der praktischen empirischen Wirtschaftsforschung unter Zuhilfenahme von Statistiksoftware, wie beispielsweise R, zum Einsatz kommen.Erwartet werden

• Aktivitäten und Erfahrungen im Bereich Forschung (Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft zur Einwerbung von Drittmitteln, starke Publikations- und Vortragstätigkeit, Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses),
• Aktivitäten und Erfahrungen im Bereich Lehre (insbesondere auch die Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft zur Übernahme von Lehrveranstaltungen in deutscher und englischer Sprache),
• Aktivitäten und Erfahrungen im Bereich Transfer sowie
• die Bereitschaft zur Übernahme von Aufgaben in der akademischen Selbstverwaltung.

Erwünscht sind weiterhin

• internationale Aktivitäten und Erfahrungen in den Bereichen Lehre, Forschung und/oder Transfer,
• besondere Nachweise zur Qualifikation in der Lehre,
• die Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft zur Nutzung neuer Lehr- und Lernformen,
• die Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft zum Engagement im Bereich Weiterbildung sowie
• die Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft zur Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.

Die Einstellungs- und Ernennungsvoraussetzungen ergeben sich aus § 64 Abs. 1 und 3 SächsHSG. Eine Einstellung bzw. Ernennung zur Juniorprofessorin bzw. zum Juniorprofessor ist für Bewerberinnen und Bewerber, für die bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt ein Habilitationsverfahren eröffnet wurde oder die bereits über eine abgeschlossene Habilitation verfügen, ausgeschlossen.He or she will contribute to the curriculum of Bachelor and Master programs of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The candidate is also expected to contribute to the development of the existing Bachelor and Master programs, especially the Master program “Economics”, as well as the advancement of teaching and research concepts.Applicants should have completed a PhD in economics or a related field relevant to empirical economics. A research focus on applied macroeconometrics or microeconometrics is desired. Teaching should cover formal methods of empirical economics, as well as their practical implementation in statistics software like R.We are looking for someone with

• practice and experience in research (ability and willingness to raise third-party funding, strong publication and lecture track record, advancement of young academics),
• practice and experience in teaching (in particular the ability and willingness to teach courses in German and English),
• practice and experience in knowledge exchange, and
• a willingness to assume responsibilities in academic self-administration.

We would also welcome

• international practice and experience in teaching, research and/or knowledge exchange,
• special proof of qualification in teaching,
• the ability and willingness to embrace new forms of teaching and learning,
• the ability and willingness to participate in delivering continuing education, and
