Key Account Manager BE – Sweets
Our client, a leading international confectionery producer, is expanding its Belgian commercial team and offers a unique opportunity for a driven Account Manager. Known for beloved, iconic brands and strong category leadership in FMCG, this organization combines a solid market position with a modern, people-focused culture. You will be joining a compact Belgian sales team where your contribution is visible, your input is valued, and your professional growth is actively supported through direct collaboration with senior sales leaders, exposure to key retail accounts, and clear opportunities to progress in account management.

Role Responsibilities
* Build and expand the out-of-home market: Develop business in leisure, petrol, vending, and sub-wholesalers, directly contributing to the company’s growth and visibility outside traditional retail.
* Grow as Junior Account Manager for Intermarché: Support and further develop this key account, gaining broad FMCG and key account management experience that will accelerate your commercial career.
* Drive channel strategies with data and insight: Analyze sales data, spot trends, and help shape channel strategies within a compact Belgian sales team (12 FTE), reporting directly to the Head of Sales and influencing strategic decisions.
Requirements
* Commercial education & solid experience: Higher education degree in a commercial or business field and at least 3 years of relevant experience, enabling you to quickly add value in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
* Proven business development mindset: Experience in business development and key account management, preferably in out-of-home or a similar commercial setting, with a strong hunter mentality to proactively identify and convert new opportunities while nurturing existing relationships.
* Strong analytical and communication skills: Ability to analyze sales data and market dynamics, combined with fluency in Dutch, French, and English and excellent interpersonal skills-giving you every opportunity to excel as a visible, trusted partner for customers and colleagues.
