About the Role

Applications are invited for the position of 1-year fixed term Lecturer in Cold War History. The post holder will be expected to deliver high quality teaching and participate in activities to improve student education, welfare, engagement, and overall experience. The Lecturer in Cold War History will contribute to the teaching of existing modules in the Global Cold War, twentieth-century United States history, and skills training for undergraduate History students.

About You

You will have a PhD in History or in a relevant field and/or relevant professional qualification or equivalent professional experience. You will have experience of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level, and a track record of role-relevant work published in appropriate renowned outlets. Higher education teaching accreditation is desirable.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time fixed-term contract, with an expected start date of 1st September 2023. The salary will be Grade 5 £45,931 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of London Allowance.
