We seek applicants who will support us in our ambitions in inclusivity and diversity.
As we continue to grow and strengthen our department, we are seeking to appoint a lecturer in computer science. While we welcome applications from candidates who have an international profile in research in any of the core areas of Computer Science, we are particularly interested in research expertise in the following areas: software engineering, devops, testing and verification, software performance engineering, software architectures, cloud and web computing, programming techniques, programming languages, and databases.
To realise our mission, we look at computer science challenges with a broad perspective and regularly sit in the program committees of and publish in top-tier and well-known venues in computer science. As such, the Department has strong links with industry, which engages with us in collaborative research projects.
We offer undergraduate and postgraduate education (in both computer science and artificial intelligence), catering for the needs of our students and the industries in which they will work. It is essential that applicants have the enthusiasm and commitment needed to ensure the success of these programmes. The successful applicant for this post will be involved in delivering teaching in core areas of computer science.
The successful candidate will be invited to join one of our research groups and will have the opportunity to contribute to cross-cutting hubs (see https://www.kcl.ac.uk/nms/depts/informatics/research/index.aspx ). Research collaboration across research groups, with departmental hubs and with other Departments in the Faculty and across the College is strongly encouraged.
