This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and motivated lecturer to join the growing and vibrant Responsible Enterprise and Innovation team within the School of Business and Law at The University of Brighton. We are a University that is proud of its reputation for producing highly employable and adaptable graduates and postgraduates. 

All our academic staff act as personal tutors to provide pastoral care to our students.  The role requires listening, interpersonal and pastoral care skills to deal with sensitive issues concerning students, appreciate individual students’ needs and circumstances, and refer students as appropriate to the specialist services that can provide further help.

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • A strong commitment to excellence in teaching and an innovative approach to delivering the curriculum.
  • Experience in teaching /communicating on a range of generic skills required including knowledge of employability/students’ professional development 
  • Understanding of the needs of students on different programmes and at different stages of their education.  
  • Competent IT skills and effective use of IT for teaching and learning
