Salary (Grade 8) from: £43,253 – £46,922 per annum inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £55,349per annum inclusive of London Weighting

The Department of Social & Political Sciences at Brunel University London is a thriving interdisciplinary Department, which features research and teaching in Politics, International Relations, Modern History, Military and International History, Sociology, Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Anthropology, Geography, and Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies. It has superb research across all disciplines, together with excellent NSS results.

We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer on a permanent basis to broaden our research and teaching in the field of International Relations. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with expertise in the foreign relations of a state or region other than Europe, such as China, Russia, Latin America, Africa, India or the Middle East, and/or with expertise in the field of international organisations and institutions. Candidates with expertise in political economy, international development and global governance are also encouraged.  

The appointee will join a well-established research and teaching department with an outstanding track record of success. You will be expected to contribute teaching across our programmes, including on our well-established MA in International Relations. You will also be expected to participate in at least one of the research centres and/or hubs in the College of Business, Arts & Social Sciences, or a University Research Institute.
