Vacancies/positions: 1Type of contract: full timeApplication deadline: 13.06.2025Estimated date of the contest settlement: June/July 2025Envisaged job starting date: 01.10.2025Period of employment: Indefinite termThe competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.The candidate should meet the following requirements: * Proficiency in the Polish language enabling efficient communication in academic didactics and the university environment.

• Knowledge of English and one Slavic language (at a level enabling communication with foreigners).
• Possession of a master’s degree in Polish Studies.
• Documented professional preparation in the field of teaching Polish as a foreign language – completed glottodidactic specialization at the master’s degree or postgraduate studies in teaching Polish as a foreign language.
• Documented minimum of five years of teaching experience at a higher education institution, i.e. conducting Polish as a foreign language courses for foreigners (minimum 540 hours per year) in multinational and multilingual groups at various levels of proficiency.
• Experience in examining foreign students at various proficiency levels (e.g., beginner and intermediate levels).
• Organizational skills (e.g., in promoting Polish as a foreign language).

The competition committee will also take into account the following additional criteria related to the profile of the School of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners: * Possession of certification as an examiner for Polish as a foreign language and documented minimum four years of experience in work related to certified exams for Polish as a foreign language.

• Documented experience in teaching Polish to groups whose first language is Slavic.
• Experience working during intensive summer courses in Polish as a foreign language.
• Conducting workshops on Polish culture.
• Completion of training in intercultural communication.
• Ability to use and integrate new technologies useful in teaching.
• Ability to independently design language and cultural programs and lesson plans.

Scope of duties: * Teaching foreign students in the field of Polish as a foreign language and Polish culture.

• Participation in the organizational work of the School.
• Enhancing professional competencies.

). * A personal overview of the applicant’s previous teaching achievements, as well as other accomplishments in the field of organization and popularization of Polish as a foreign language (Self-presentation).

• The names and email addresses of at least two scholars holding a postdoctoral degree or professor title, or, in the case of individuals employed at institutions outside of Poland, holding positions comparable to a postdoctoral degree or professorship, specializing in a field related to the candidate’s area of interest or a related field, who are willing to send recommendation letters on behalf of the candidate.
• A proposal of a 30-hour semester course in Polish as a foreign language for Slavs.
• Any other documents which may prove the candidate’s eligibility for the position.
