We are launching a new Aerospace Engineering degree, homed within , the programme builds on the School’s established strengths in fluid dynamics, materials, intelligent sensing, advanced manufacturing and electrical power systems and will be delivered from the new in the heart of Newcastle.We are a world class research-intensive university, delivering teaching and learning of the highest quality and playing a major role in the economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Our research community works across disciplines to tackle global challenges in sustainable energy, transport, and advanced manufacturing.We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Experimental Aerodynamics. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading Engineering Schools in the UK.The successful candidate will join a leading team of experts in Fluid Dynamics and Thermal Systems that specialises in cutting edge Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and modelling. The research strength of the Group lies in the high-fidelity CFD simulations and modelling of turbulent reacting and multiphase flows relevant to energy-efficient and environment-friendly power generation and propulsion, manufacturing and bioengineering applications. This research supports the School’s strong track record of national and international research collaborations, with strategic partnerships in key areas tackling global challenges in sustainable energy, transport, and advanced manufacturing.
