We are currently looking for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Operations Management to join Bristol Business School. We are particularly seeking expertise in Project Management, Strategy or International Business.
The school comprises six subject clusters. One of the clusters is the Strategy and Operations Management (SOM) cluster, which also covers International Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Information Management and Innovation and Enterprise. The post holder will join a vibrant and growing team who are engaged in a broad range of scholarly activities and research.
Colleagues in SOM contribute to teaching across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the wider College of Business and Law and the successful applicant will be expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching activities of the group at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About you: The nature of the subject group’s teaching means that candidates should be confident, outgoing and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large and sometimes interdisciplinary modules, as well as independently on smaller, specialist, modules.
To succeed in this role, you will require a sufficient depth and currency of specialist knowledge in Strategy and Operations, ideally with the ability to contribute to other related subject areas within the cluster, demonstrate a commitment to teaching with the ability to engage and inspire students within a variety of academic settings, and be able design innovative teaching materials using a technology engaged approach.
