Job description

The Legal Compliance Counsel Spain will report to the Head of Legal & Compliance Western Europe & Latin America and will have 1 direct report (Local Data Protection Officer). The scope of this position is to support Spanish Unilabs business structure.Legal reponsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial, development, partnerships, joint-ventures agreements
• Support to public and private tenders
• Support to digital/IP projects
• Implement internal processes, templates of contracts, education, and training of employees
• Manage claims, litigation with the support of local lawyers
• Support for M&A deals with the support of the group and local lawyers
• Managing external lawyers

Compliance responsibilities:

• Elaboration and implementation of the group compliance program
• Education and training of employees
• Risk assessment management
• Interactions with local authorities when needed
• Legal support to data protection issues in interaction with the Group DPO and local law firm

Requirements

• 10-15 Years of experience working in the legal area
• Experience in an international Law firm, as well as in-house
• Solid experience in Spanish Law
• Fluent in English
• Fluent in Spanish
• Business partner mindset
• Team spirit
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Drive and change partner
