Legal & Compliance Manager
Excellent Salary Package plus BenefitsLocation: Cannock, Office BasedHours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pmWe are working with a well-established and innovative business within the manufacturing and distribution sector, currently seeking an experienced Legal and Compliance Manager to join their leadership team.Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role is critical in ensuring legal, environmental, and industry standard compliance across the organisation. You’ll act as a central point for all things compliance – from managing audits and accreditations to overseeing company insurance and legal documentation.Benefits :

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain all company insurance policies, including claims handling from initiation to resolution.
  • Lead the management and renewal of industry certifications.
  • Keep ahead of legislation changes relevant to environmental, legal, and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes are in place and up to date.
  • Work alongside senior leaders and HR to review and maintain company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and manage a staff training matrix across departments.
  • Ensure company Terms & Conditions (sales and purchasing) remain legally compliant and aligned with business strategy.
  • Support Health & Safety teams to uphold a safe working environment across all sites.
  • Maintain and develop a central compliance and QMS database.
  • Assist with reviewing utility contracts and supplier/customer agreements.
  • Provide contractual support to sales and procurement teams during tenders or onboarding.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of legal and compliance standards within a commercial or manufacturing setting.
  • Previous experience managing audits, accreditations, and insurance processes.
  • Comfortable interpreting legislation and implementing policy changes.
  • Organised, proactive and confident engaging across multiple departments.
  • A collaborative and practical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
