Legal Counsel (Employment)We are looking for a Legal Counsel (Employment) to join our Legal team here at Harrods. You will provide the Harrods business with effective and wide-ranging contentious and non-contentious legal and strategic advice on a variety of matters on employment matters.About the RoleThis role will ensure the business is protected, legally compliant, has certainty regarding its rights and obligations in employment matters and is effectively risk-managed. This role will also see preparing pleadings and witness evidence and coordinating disclosure in respect of Tribunal claims and, as required, attending Tribunal hearings.You will also:

• Provide advice and support on employee grievances, claims and dismissals
• Provide legal advice in relation to corporate, commercial, data protection and GDPR matters in so far as they relate to employment matters
• Provide training to business on employment matters

About YouThe ideal candidate must be a qualified solicitor (or equivalent qualified lawyer) permitted to practise in England and Wales. They should have qualified into an employment role and have previous employment experience (during their training contract or otherwise).You will also have the following

• Excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task
• Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail
