Job Description:

The Airbus Head of Legal Corporate Affairs (LC) is looking for a Junior Legal Counsel– Legal Corporate Affairs (M/F) specialized in business law, reporting directly to him. The Legal Counsel will work closely with him and the full LC department (comprised of Corporate Law and Governance (LCG), Merger & Acquisitions Legal Affairs (LCM), Real Estate Legal Affairs (LCR), Competition Law (LCK) and Delegation System (LCD)). The position is based in Toulouse, France.

Your challenges:

Responsibilities will include supporting the Head of Legal Corporate Affairs (h/f) on a day-to-day basis and providing legal support and advice in all areas of the Legal Corporate Affairs team (including governance, capital markets, corporate law, restructuring, insurance, mergers & acquisitions, real estate, and competition law).

Tasks may notably include:

  • Assist the Head of Legal Corporate Affairs (h/f) with the organization and activities of the LC team.
  • Organize and prepare meetings with other executives and team members.
  • Special attention to the committees the Head of Legal Corporate Affairs (h/f) is a member of, or is invited to (Board Committees, Disclosure Committee, Funding Committee, M&A Committee, Strategy Committee, etc.), to the LC team meetings (LC managers meetings, All LC meetings, etc.), and to meetings with third parties (law firms, stakeholders, etc.).
  • Preparation of letters, notes, preparing/coordinating briefings, attending and minuting meetings for the Head of Legal Corporate Affairs as needed.
  • Support the LC team in relation to the following non exhaustive list of activities:
  • Airbus SE (listed entity) Board and Annual General Meeting related matters, Governance (investors) roadshow;
  • Regulatory requests: communications with financial market authorities (including internal coordination and drafting responses);
  • Research in corporate law, capital markets and securities law;
  • Updates to governance manuals and governance pages of Airbus’ website;
  • Corporate housekeeping (subsidiaries of the group):
  • planning and organising the Board of Directors and shareholders assemblies;
  • organising appointment and renewal of Board of Directors members;
  • preparing annual accounts approvals, including coordination with external auditors and internal stakeholders;
  • ensuring filings and legal formalities.
  • Research in Competition Law, Insurance Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate.
  • Due diligence.
  • Assisting with drafting of contracts.

Your boarding pass:

The following skills and experience are needed: 

  • You have a Master of Laws (EU, UK, US or other common law jurisdiction);
  • You have a first business law experience in an international company or in an international law firm;
  • You are a native or fluent English speaker. French, Dutch, German or Spanish would be a plus;
  • You have excellent drafting skills;
  • You are flexible, well-organised, with the ability to manage several tasks;
  • You are able to proactively identify and resolve problems, proposing solutions with creativity whilst being risk aware;
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, a high team spirit and a true willingness to learn;
  • You have the ability to work in multi-functional and multi-cultural context, in a transnational environment;
  • You are digital minded.
